PHILIPPINES – Thirty-eight account holders of Security Bank have joined together to file a claim for losses amounting to more than P5.7M, caused allegedly by phishing and unauthorized transactions performed on their accounts. They reportedly received phishing emails and phone calls from fake Security Bank employees resulting in the unauthorized access to one-time passwords (OTPs) and the conduct of unauthorized transactions and customer profile updates.
