Algenio wins bronze in Fermat PH heat round

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School mathlete Xavier Algenio (Montserrat/9-Lewis) won a bronze award in the Secondary 2/Grade 8 division of the Fermat Mathematical Olympiad (FMO) Philippine Heat Round, which was held virtually on August 8, 2021.  

The FMO is an annual competition developed and held by Fermat Education, an authorized Vietnamese organization board for many international Olympiads. It is open to all students from kindergarten to grade 9 who have a strong interest in Mathematics, and focuses on how the contestants read, understand, and analyze the problems. The FMO 2021 Final Round promises to be a friendly and accessible mathematical playground not only for Vietnamese students, but for students from around the world.
