24 May 2021
On May 10, 2021, a policy forum article titled “Research at public policy schools in the Asia-Pacific region ranked” published in the Asia & the Pacific Policy Studies listed the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) as one of the top public policy schools in terms of research publication output. ASOG’s research outputs significantly increased in the past four (4) years because of the Ateneo Policy Center, the School’s public policy think tank. The Center produces cutting-edge research, provides technical assistance to public and private sector actors, and hosts evidence-based policy discussion to support reforms and advance nation-building.
ASOG was ranked 25th by citation impact factor, with a total of 7 citations scoring 1.17 impact factor.
The public policy school research ranking is the first of its kind in the region, using Scopus as the bibliographic database to assess the publication output of 45 schools between 2014 and 2018, based on affiliations listed on the publications.
