10 May 2019
The Ateneo School of Government through the Ateneo Policy Center released the results of its mock elections initiative titled Pinoy Voters' Vibe (Youth Edition). PVV is a non-partisan, objective, and youth-oriented mock elections platform that aims to assess the awareness, perception, and candidate preferences of college students on the 2019 Senatorial Candidates.
The mock polls were held in partnership with the students of Far Eastern University Manila, University of San Carlos Cebu, Cebu Institute of Technology University, and the Mindanao State University-General Santos City Campus.
Opposition senatorial candidates led by Atty. Chel Diokno dominated the Far Eastern University (FEU) - Manila mock elections with 610 respondents. Cebu Institute of Technology and University of San Carlos showed varying results while the Mindanao State University leaned towards mostly administration-backed bets. Chel Diokno topped both FEU and USC elections. Pia Cayetano topped CIT's polls while re-electionist candidate Sonny Angara topped MSU-GenSan's elections. The mock polls also allowed the students to indicate their perception about the senatorial candidates.
