Forum on the Philippine Government's Anti-Drug Campaign: Emerging Evidence and Data

WHAT DO THE EVIDENCE AND DATA SAY ABOUT THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT'S ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN?

As a response to the growing call for objective and evidence-based analyses on the implementation of the government’s anti-drug campaign, the Ateneo de Manila University, through the Ateneo School of Government, in partnership with De La Salle Philippines and Columbia Journalism School-Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism, will hold a forum titled, “The Philippine Government’s Anti-Drug Campaign: Emerging Evidence and Data.” The forum will feature three scientific research studies to be presented by Dr. Clarissa David, Atty. Michael Yusingco, and Dr. Regina Hechanova. We have also invited distinguished experts from the academe, the government, CSOs, and the media to serve as reactors.

The forum will introduce, to our knowledge, the most comprehensive data set on drug-related killings in the Philippines since May 2016. It will also launch a consortium that will advance and generate empirical studies on the Philippine Government’s Anti-Drug Campaign. This will be held on June 25, 2018, Monday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 NN, at Leong Hall Auditorium, Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City.
