LS OSCI Student Affairs Professionals volunteer at Buklod Tao Center

What do the Office of Social Concern and Involvement's (OSCI) Student Affairs Professionals do during their weekends? Aside from their regular area engagement activities with the students every Saturday, some do volunteer work on Sundays. Pat Carbungco and Floy Soriano conducted a reading session with the children of Buklod Tao in San Mateo, Municipality of Rizal Province last 12 February 2023.

The children are regular visitors at the extension center of Buklod Tao where they do several chores, read stories, and entertain visitors with their songs. During that particular Sunday morning, Floy and Pat agreed to the request of our point person, Ka Noli Abinales, to read stories to the children. They brought with them books donated by members of the Ateneo community.

Pat and Floy regularly hold reading sessions every 2nd Sunday of the month in Payatas, Quezon City with the children of Solidarity with Orphans and Widows (SOW).
