Spirit of '86: EDSA Picnic sa Zen
EDSA Picnic sa Zen is a gathering of students and community members for a reflective and inspiring kapihan session at the Zen Garden, commemorating the spirit of the EDSA People Power Revolution. This event provides a space for open conversations on pressing social issues, democracy, and active citizenship—ensuring that the legacy of EDSA continues to empower the youth today.
The program will feature performances, poetry readings, and opportunities for volunteerism, fostering both artistic expression and civic engagement. A key highlight of the event is the launch of OSA’s midterm election voters' education initiative, “Kabataan, Kumilatis Bago Bumoto” (KKBB). This initiative will equip student leaders and organizations with a voters' education trainers toolkit, enabling them to conduct peer-led discussions and advocacy within their own circles.
As students gather under the open sky, EDSA Picnic sa Zen becomes more than just a commemoration—it is a movement to sustain the values of democracy, critical thinking, and collective action in shaping the future of the nation.
