Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

Ateneo is also called The University of the Immaculate Conception. The Virgin Mary is the principal patroness of the Ateneo, and the reason why our school colors are white and blue.

This year, the Church celebrates the 170th anniversary of the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. This dogma states that Mary was conceived without any stain of the original sin to prepare her to be the mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ. 

As one community, let us celebrate the Holy Eucharist on 9 December 2024 (Monday), 12noon at the Church of the Gesù. Father Edwin U. Castillo, SJ will be our presider and homilist.

Confessions and the praying of the Rosary will start at 1130AM. Birthday celebrants for December will also be given a special blessing during the Mass.

Ang Ateneo ay kilala rin bilang University of the Immaculate Conception. Ang Birheng Maria ay ang pangunahing patron ng Ateneo at siya rin ang dahilan kung bakit puti at asul ang mga kulay ng ating paaralan.

Ngayong taon, ipinagdiriwang natin ang ika-170 anibersaryo ng proklamasyon ng dogma ng Kalinis-linisang Paglilihi kay Maria. Siya ay ipinaglihing walang bahid ng salang orihinal. Ito ay paghahanda sa kanyang pagiging ina ng ating Tagapagligtas na si Hesukristo. 

Bilang isang komunidad, magdiwang tayo ng Banal na Eukaristiya ngayong ika-9 ng Disyembre 2024 (Lunes), ika-12NT, sa Simbahan ng Gesù. Si Padre Edwin U. Castillo, SJ ang ating tagapamuno.

Ang pangungumpisal at pagdarasal ng Rosaryo ay magsisimula sa ganap na 1130NU. Bibigyan din ng natatanging pagbabasbas ang mga may kaarawan sa buwan ng Disyembre sa Misang ito.
