The Ateneo Fine Arts Department, in cooperation with the Ateneo Institute of Literary Arts and Practices (AILAP) and the Kagawaran ng Filipino, invites you to a special screening of "A Brief History of the Escherian Stairwell," a captivating documentary exploring the intersection of art, technology, and disinformation.

This thought-provoking film follows filmmaker Michael Lacanilao as he revisits his student project, a film about a paradoxical stairwell that unexpectedly became an internet sensation and foreshadowed the age of disinformation. Set against the backdrop of the 2022 Philippine elections, "A Brief History of the Escherian Stairwell" delves into the complexities of belief, knowledge, and truth-seeking in the digital age.
