In celebration of Dr. Ricardo "Ricky" G. Abad's 78th birthday, Areté will host Remembering Ricky: A Birthday Celebration on August 10, 2024, at The Loft, located on the 4th Floor of George SK Ty Learning Innovation Wing, Areté in Ateneo de Manila University.
The event will officially launch The Ricardo G. Abad Endowment Fund for the Arts and Sciences and reignite sales of Build and Destroy: Remembering Ricky Abad. Proceeds from the book will also contribute to the endowment fund, which aims to support outreach and knowledge production activities that blend the sciences and the arts within the Ateneo community, fostering a better world for Filipinos.
