Safe Bites Main Poster

We are cordially inviting you to the second SDG2 Webinar for 2024 titled, “Safe Bites: Navigating the World of Food Safety"

This webinar is aimed at raising awareness about the detection and prevention of risks through food safety practices, and ways to improve human health and sustainable agriculture and development. “Food Safety is everyone’s business” as this area is important not only to regulators or those who are in agriculture, agricultural trade and other parts of the food industry but also equally important for the ordinary consumers and individuals who purchase and consume the food. It is important that students and the academic community also understand the issues and participate in working together to ensure food safety and good health. This webinar provides an opportunity to learn about safe and healthy food and explore opportunities on how to work together for food safety and good health.

The webinar, which will be on 18 June 2024 (Tuesday) at 2:00 – 5:00 PM (Philippine time), will feature the following speakers:

  1. Dr Lionel Dabbadie - FAO Representative in the Philippines
  2. Dr Kenneth Hartigan-Go - Faculty & Senior Research Fellow of the Ateneo Policy Center, ASOG
  3. Dr. Romeo Quijano - Chairperson, Pesticide Action Network in Asia Pacific

The webinar will be moderated by Dr. Philip Arnold Tuaño, Dean of the Ateneo School of Government.
