Dr. Justin See, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Sydney Environment Institute, University of Sydney, will delve into the nuances of climate adaptation in the Asia-Pacific region. Drawing from extensive literature and empirical case studies, Dr. See will highlight the characteristics of effective climate adaptation projects and underscore the importance of local leadership in these initiatives. Dr. See will present real-world examples from Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. These case studies will illustrate how locally-led initiatives have successfully integrated the aforementioned characteristics to achieve tangible outcomes.
