Mobility Walk

The Campus Mobility Forum conveners would like to invite you to a campus mobility walk and photovoice on 3 May 2024.

With the support of Tagpuan: Center for Dialogue, Research, and Collaboration and the Ateneo Center for Organization Research and Development, we have prepared a set of activities that will allow us to listen deeply, speak with intention, and attend to the well-being of each one, and outline a vision and program of action for campus mobility.

There are two walking schedules to choose from, one in the morning and another in the afternoon:

Morning schedule
6:00-6:30 Orientation (Venue: Leong Hall Auditorium foyer)
6:30-9:00 Campus walk and photovoice
9:00-10:00 Breakfast and conversation  (Venue: Ben Chan Art Suite, Arete)

Afternoon schedule
3:30-4:00 Orientation (Venue: Ben Chan Art Suite, Arete)
4:00-6:30 Campus walk and photovoice
6:30-7:30 Dinner and conversations (Venue: Ben Chan Art Suite, Arete)

For more information on the campus walk, please click here.

To help us adequately prepare for the walks, kindly register by May 2, 4:00 pm.

What is the Campus Mobility Forum (CMF)?

The CMF was convened  by Fr. Roberto Yap, SJ, University President, on 4 March 2024 to help the University administration develop “innovative solutions and sustainable campus mobility strategies” for the Loyola Heights campus. It extends an invitation to the University community to craft a space where a wide array of stakeholders can “come together to express ideas freely, arrive at consensus discursively, and offer a program of action” for sustainable mobility on campus. Stakeholders identified include, among others, students, faculty members, staff, administrators, parents, school bus/tricycle/private car drivers, alumni, Jesuits, as well as bikers, green spaces advocates, car users, pedestrians, public transport users, dormers, and persons with accessibility needs. Crucially, the CMF has been tasked to formulate a report for the University President at the end of May 2024 that outlines a vision and program of action for sustainable mobility on campus.
