Sapienta et Eloquentia: The Ambassador Lecture Series with H.E. Laure Beaufils

The Ateneo de Manila Community is invited to the first Sapienta et Eloquentia: The Ambassador Lecture Series to be presented by Her Excellency Laure Beaufils, British Ambassador to the Philippines and Palau.

H.E. Ambassador Laure Beaufils is a Senior British Diplomat currently serving as the British Ambassador to the Philippines and Palau. She was the Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa of the Department of International Development from 2019 to 2021 and the Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria from 2017 to 2019.

With 15 years of experience in international development and climate change, she has worked in UK Embassies in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Jordan and the Philippines. Her expertise includes civil society and UN engagement, strong strategy and policy formulation, organizational development, change management, program and financial management, as well as crisis management.

Prior to holding this position, she worked in various positions in the UK government. She was the lead strategic adviser working for the former British Prime Minister in his role as co-chair of the UN Secretary General’s High Level Panel on the post-2015 development agenda.
