2nd Socialized Housing Summit

The Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship (ACSEnt) in partnership with the Social Enterprise Development Partnerships Inc. will hold the 2nd Socialized Housing Summit from 18-19 March 2024 at the Escaler Hall of Ateneo de Manila University. The summit aims to fortify collective efforts toward ensuring accessible, sustainable, and dignified housing for every Filipino, bridging gaps through innovation, collaboration, and shared expertise by bringing together diverse stakeholders. The summit seeks to weave a collaborative network across sectors by amplifying awareness and facilitating knowledge-sharing about socialized housing.  The event will spotlight successful models and government programs, enhancing their visibility and inspiring replication or adaptation across varied contexts.

Guest Speakers

The summit includes guest speakers such as Hon. Marilene Acosta, Head of Pag-IBIG Fund; Dr. Marife Ballesteros, Vice President, Philippine Institute for Development Studies; and Mr Paolo Olivares, President, Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines, among many other esteemed representatives from the sector.  

Also featured at the summit is Mr Panya Boonsirithum, a social entrepreneur who founded Citihub – an innovative and sustainable way of looking into low-cost urban housing.

Mr Vince Rapisura, Ateneo faculty member, social entrepreneur, personal finance guru, and President of SEDPI will also talk about SEDPI’s foray into the socialized housing market as a way to address the needs of a marginalized sector that is suffering from the growing housing backlog.

The Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship (ACSEnt) is Ateneo de Manila University’s center committed to fostering social transformation and contributing to nation-building by cultivating a vibrant social entrepreneurship sector in the Philippines.
The Social Enterprise Development Partnerships Inc. (SEDPI) is a private organization established on 30 July 2004. It is composed of young and dynamic social entrepreneurs. SEDPI works in the areas of microfinance, social entrepreneurship and financial education.
