The Japanese Studies Program of the School of Social Sciences invites everyone to participate in our annual

Philippine Kana Art Competition

8th Kana Com

The Philippine Kana Art Competition is an opportunity for young Filipino artists to use their creative talents to produce artworks that can help Japanese language students remember certain Japanese syllabaries and characters. Kana are the symbols used to write Japanese. This competition takes inspiration from pictograms used to learn the different symbols and characters used in the Japanese language.

In its 8th year, the Philippine Kana Art Competition aims to inspire young artists to learn about kana and the Japanese language through their creative interpretations.
