Reconciling with Nature through Artistic Creations: 2023 AUN-EEC Workshop

The ASEAN University Network on Ecological Education and Culture (AUN-EEC), housed at the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability, is organizing a workshop entitled “Reconciling with Nature through Artistic Creations''. Happening on 21 November 2023 (Tuesday) from 3:30 to 5:30 pm (MNL time, GMT+8), the workshop seeks to guide the participants on the creative expression of their personal embodiment of reconciliation ecology given one’s unique context and narrative. 

There are two concurrent on-site workshop sessions. One session is an on-site outdoor photography workshop, in which participants will have an afternoon stroll in the Ateneo de Manila grounds. Participants are expected to bring their photography equipment for the workshop.

The other session is on literary writing, in which participants will be guided to write about their sentiments about environmental restoration. This hybrid session will be done primarily online, which will be streamed for online viewers.

Each session will have a maximum of 15 on-site participants, but there is no limit on the number of online viewers. On-site attendees are advised to bring an identification card to facilitate their entry to the university. Supported through the Sandbox Residency Grant of the Ateneo Areté, this is the culminating activity under the AUN-EEC 2023 banner theme “environmental reconciliation and restoration”.
