Alay kay Maria 2023

Since 1977, Dulaang Sibol of the Ateneo de Manila High School has been celebrating our Lady’s birthday through the Marian community concert Alay Kay Maria. For 46 years, we have been singing with our community, bringing choirs and musicians together to serenade our Mother. And after doing Alay Kay Maria online in 2020 and 2021, and celebrating it in the Blue Mass at the Church of the Gesù in 2022, our Alay finally returns home to the Sibol stage on Friday, 8 September 2023.

This year’s Alay Kay Maria is different because it is in two parts.

3pm Recollection Concert

First, at 3pm. we have a recollection-concert featuring our Jesuit and other formators, who will speak and sing of Mary, our guide, interecessor, and mother. This is in cooperation with the Ateneo de Manila University Office of Mission and Identity (OMI).

6pm Harana kay Maria

Second, at 6pm, we have our more traditional Alay, our serenade for our Blessed Mother featuring choirs and musicians from the Ateneo de Manila community and from our friends and partners.

Joining Dulaang Sibol are student organizations from the Ateneo Senior and Junior High Schools, including the Glee Club, Music Industry Organization (MIO), Symphonic Ensemble, and Teatro Baguntao (TBT).

Guest performers include faculty performers from both Junior and Senior High Schools, the Ateneo College Glee Club, Toto Sorioso, Aleron, Bukas Palad Music Ministry, and more.

Admission to the live event is free. Guests without Ateneo IDs or gate pass stickers need to apply for campus access at go.ateneo.edu/visitsibol by 12nn of the day of the show.

Alay Kay Maria 2023 will also be streamed live on Radyo Katipunan.
