Renowned pianist Miguel Ángel R. Laiz will captivate audiences at the Escaler Hall with his piano recital, "A Musical Journey through Spanish Piano Music."
Born in Almería, Spain, Laiz's exceptional talent and passion have earned him international acclaim. On June 27, 2023, he will perform enchanting melodies by celebrated Spanish composers Albéniz, Granados, Falla, and more.
With an impressive educational background, Laiz studied under Maestro Guillermo Gonzalez in Madrid and holds an Artist Certificate in Piano Performance from Southern Methodist University of Dallas under maestro Joaquín Achúcarro. His expertise in Spanish piano music has led to invitations for lectures and master classes worldwide.
Laiz's contributions to the Royal Conservatory of Granada include specialized studies on Spanish music and research on revered composers like Albéniz and Falla. His exceptional skills and interpretation have garnered numerous awards in national and international piano competitions.
