Weathering Seasonal Illnesses
With the summer heat leaving and the rainy season coming, have you been under the weather lately? Climate change affects human health through a variety of mechanisms, including impacts on heat-related illnesses, the spread of disease, altering the distribution of disease-carrying organisms such as mosquitoes leading to diseases such as Dengue, and leptospiral transmission in floods.
