Promoting Innovation for Sustainable Development

We invite the community to the SC Johnson Environmental Leadership Forum 2023: Promoting Innovation for Sustainable Development on May 2, 2023 (Tuesday) at the Escaler Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. 

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Alexander Young, who will talk about Combining multiple technologies for the development of an early warning system for coral bleaching. Dr. Young recently joined the faculty of the Department of Environmental Science and has extensive experience in the identification and application of novel technologies in biotechnology in the United States as a biotechnology venture capitalist, the founder of a gene therapy company, genomics-based drug discovery, genomic sequencing of human viruses, elucidating signal transduction pathways, and cloning disease-relevant genes at the pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies Merck and Cetus Corporation. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from Harvard University and a BA in Biochemistry from Cornell University.

In addition to Dr. Young's talk, the forum will feature research presentations from this school year's recipients of the SC Johnson Student R&D Fund.
