As a kick-off activity to a quarter-long series of events under the PRESENT Coalition, The Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship (ACSEnt) and the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA) have collaborated to put together a conference that seeks to gather over 200 participants from the social enterprise sector as well as advocates from the government including national agencies, legislative champions from the Philippine Senate and House of Representatives, local government units and private sector partners and other civil society allies to push for the enactment and mainstreaming of the Poverty Reduction through Social Entrepreneurship (PRESENT) bill and program.
This conference aims to create a multi-stakeholder approach through social entrepreneurship that will galvanize action towards crafting solutions for inclusive recovery and building back fairer, as embodied in the Catalyzing the Recovery of Social and Community Enterprises for Transformation (CRESCENT) initiative.
