Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels
The Catholic Church has long celebrated the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels every year on October 2. The Ateneo Grade School traditionally holds a week-long celebration with fun and festivities. Before the pandemic, there were rides, parlor games, food booths, and contests.
This year, the pandemic has not dampened the spirits of this feast in the AGS. It was again celebrated in simple yet meaningful ways. Teachers prayed a nine-day Novena with the students. For the week of September 26 to 30, the students were invited to do random acts of kindness. They did something special to make people around them feel loved and appreciated. The week culminated with a Holy Mass, a procession, and a salu-salo for each class.
Through this feast, every year, we hope to continue to deepen and strengthen our devotion to the Holy Guardian Angels despite the many challenges we face. After all, our guardian angels help us overcome these challenges.
Happy Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels!
