In celebration of SOSS Week 2022: Lakbay, and as part of the countdown to our 10th Founding Anniversary, the Ateneo Korean Studies Program, in collaboration with the UP Korea Research Center and the UP Department of Linguistics, invites everyone to “Salin Na: The Art of Translating Korean Pop Literature,” happening on Thursday, 7 April 2022 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.
Join us as we listen to UPKRC’s Dr. Kyung Min Bae and KSP’s very own, Ms. Ma. Kristina Carla S. Rico, share about their experience of translating popular Korean best-sellers into English. The conversation will also highlight and touch on the joys and challenges of doing translation work. The session will be moderated by Mr. Marco S. Angulo, Lecturer, UP Department of Linguistics.
