EDSA On My Mind: Remembering the 1986 People Power Revolution (3rd Voters Conversation Forum)

For this forum, the distinguished panel of speakers are, Bishop Pablo Virgilio “Ambo” David of the Diocese of Kalookan and president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines; Ms. Solita “Winnie” Monsod, renowned economist and columnist of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and former director-general of the National Economic and Development Authority; Mr. Ed Lingao, veteran journalist of TV5; and (ret.) Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Bautista, 44th chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. They will share their memories and thoughts on the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. Their inputs will be followed by reactions/questions from students who were not yet born In 1986 and may have little knowledge of EDSA.
We hope that the forum, while highlighting an important event in our history, will also be an opportunity to give people, particularly students, a valuable and much-needed perspective on the coming elections and the candidates for national office.
Dr. Patricia Licuanan, former Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education, will be the moderator.
