[Book Launch] Between Celebration and Critique

As Christianity in the Philippines celebrates its quincentennial anniversary, we are pleased to formally launch Fr. Mario Francisco's Between Celebration and Critique: Snapshots from 500 Years of Philippine Christianity on February 18 at 4:00 p.m. via Facebook Live.

About the book 

Between Celebration and Critique is an anthology of essays intended as a sourcebook of snapshots from Philippine Christianity that foregrounds particular texts and related themes. As snapshots, it adds nuance and texture to these texts and themes, while others, which are nevertheless equally important, remain in the background.

"There is much to celebrate and critique as the nation marks the 500 years of Christianity. The book provides a way to view the journey of Christianity as continuously evolving and engaged with history, even as it brings Christ’s message of hope to the people of God."
