RE:
PABX Communication System Status Update
This is to update the community on the current status of our Main PABX system. As of this time, our trunkline remains down preventing incoming calls outside Ateneo. Intermittent local-to-local call drops and continuous dial tones are still occurring while the Dial 9 outside call feature remains inoperational. This is due to trunk card issues with consequential effects on the system integration and programming based on our continuing technical assessment and troubleshooting that we are still trying to resolve.
Nonetheless, some local lines have already been reactivated with dial tones but with intermittent call droppings and audibility issues that necessitates rewiring which is ongoing.
All other campus facilities with their own PABX can make local-to-local calls internally but within their area only. These are:
- Ateneo Grade School
- Loyola House of Studies
- Loyola School Theology
- ARRUPE
- San Jose Seminary
- CEFAM
- Manila Observatory
- JESCOM
- Jesuit Residence
- JESUIT WELLNESS CENTER
- IPC
- EAPI
- University Dorm
- Residence Hall
In the meantime, our PABX operators can provide you with details of local lines that are capable for both outgoing and incoming calls. You may also consider using your PLDT direct lines which are not affected and other communication systems such as the internet and mobile phones.
Our apologies for the prolonged repairs and restoration and thank you for your kind patience and utmost understanding. Rest assured that we are committed to resolving these issues as quickly as possible and providing timely updates.
