Subject :
Appointment of Dr Cristina M Bautista as Director of the Tagpuan Center for Dialogue, Research, and Collaboration
We would like to inform the community that Dr Cristina M Bautista, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, is appointed Director of Tagpuan Center for Dialogue, Research, and Collaboration starting 1 August 2024 until 31 July 2025.
Tagpuan is the Magis Aspiration under the Bridging Cultural Divides strategic priority area. Since its establishment in July 2023, it has set up its organization structure, conducted and participated in numerous consultations and meetings with key internal and external partners, and produced approaches and techniques for dialogues and collaborative action.
Its activities include co-production dialogue and collaboration research for legislative action on street dwellers and on the intersection of the realities of communities where drugs are part of everyday life with the drug policies that shape and influence these lived experiences. It supports the Campus Mobility Forum through campus walk/biking and photovoice dialogues, multi-stakeholders' conversations, and a participatory future making workshop on campus mobility issues.
We thank Dr Jose Jowel P Canuday, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and immediate Past-Interim Director of Tagpuan, for these accomplishments.
We ask the community to support Dr Nina Bautista to continue building on Tagpuan’s accomplishments this school year.
For your guidance.
