Subject : Moratorium Period for Undergraduate Student Activities - First Semester SY 2022-23
The Moratorium Period for Undergraduate Student Activities for this semester will run from 28 November 2022 until 10 December 2022.
The Student Activities Moratorium Period is a policy of the Loyola Schools for undergraduate students to prioritize academic requirements and prepare for final examinations. Absolutely no student activities will be allowed during this period.
As stated in the General Regulations of the Loyola Schools Undergraduate Student Handbook, (Revised 2019 edition, p. 21):
LS General Regulation No. 8 - The Ateneo de Manila has always considered co-curricular activities and athletics essential to the balanced formation and development of the student. Activities and athletics are part of the community life of the Loyola Schools. Therefore, each student should participate in one or several activities to the extent that his/her studies will allow.
LS General Regulation No. 9 - Co-curricular activities, however, are meant to supplement studies, not to interfere with them. Hence, the Loyola Schools reserves the right to advise against participation in activities, if the student needs to devote more time to studies.
