18 February 2022
Memo to : The University Community
Subject : Results of the 2021 AUN Healthy University Rating System
Back in August 2021, the ASEAN University Network –Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) launched the Healthy University Rating System (HURS), an assessment and monitoring tool to help AUN-HPN members develop and implement ‘whole university’ approaches to health, wellbeing, and sustainability.
I am pleased to inform the community that, based on our self-assessment in the 22 areas of the Healthy University Framework (HUF), Ateneo de Manila’s inaugural rating from AUN-HPN is 4 stars out of 5 stars plus. With the feedback provided to us, we will ensure to look into the areas where we can implement improvements.
I thank the members of the University’s AUN-HURS Committee, Engr Josephy F Almosera, Dr Martin Graciano Raymundo S Baquiran, Arch Michael M Canlas, Dr Maria Victoria T Cortez, Dr Ma Henrietta Teresa O dela Cruz, Dr Leland Joseph R dela Cruz, Mr Gary Aguedo G Faustino, Ms Abigail Marie T Favis, Dr Norman Dennis E Marquez, Ms Maria Milagros L Tendero, and especially the Chair, Ms Marie Joy R Salita, whose hard work and input were invaluable in putting the report together. I also thank the Strategy and Quality Management Office (SQMO) for providing the Committee much-needed support.
Most of all, I thank each one of you for all your efforts in making the University a healthy and sustainable space for people and all of God’s creatures.
Ad majorem Dei gloriam!
