The Office of Human Resource Management and Organization Development provides provide expertise, leadership and service in the areas of human resources that will support and help the University achieve its mission.  To this end, we strive to:
  • Hire and retain a talented, skilled,  and diverse workforce who demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of the University;    
  • Be a trusted partner to our schools/clients by engaging with them, developing a deep understanding of their needs, and helping them attain their goals
  • Be a trusted partner to individual employees by helping them to resolve their concerns, advance their aspirations and nurture their development,
  • Achieve a standard excellence in the delivery of efficient and responsive services to University faculty and staff
  • Demonstrate a belief in and respect for the fundamental dignity of each member of the University community,
  • Create and maintain a supportive work environment
  • Ensure that employees acquire, develop, and maintain the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
 

Maria Victoria T Cortez, PhD
Vice President

The current Vice President for Human Resources is Dr Maria Victoria T Cortez. Cortez was previously VP for Administration and Human Resources (2019-2020) and Director of the Office of Human Resource Management and Organization Development (OHRMOD) (2013-2019).

Prior to this, she was part of the Ateneo Center for Organization Research & Development (CORD) for eight years, where she was Training Director, Deputy Executive Director, and eventually Managing Director. She held various HR administration and development roles in the business sector since 1997.
