University Climate Action Plan

The Climate Action Plan (CAP) will detail the University’s commitments and specific actions towards accounting for and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reducing the impacts of climate hazards on the community and its partners.

Under the stewardship of former University President Fr Jose Ramon T Villarin SJ, a Core Working Group (CWG) has been established to develop the CAP. The CWG, consisting of experts from various fields within and across Ateneo, shall be responsible for defining scope and contents, outlining specific goals, and establishing mechanisms for monitoring university efforts on climate change adaptation and mitigation.

By working closely with stakeholders, Ateneo is committed to developing a CAP that embodies its dedication to sustainability and resilience, framed by a desire to promote and mainstream integral ecology.

The first version of the Climate Action Plan will be launched by SY 2024-25.
